Korea Orchid Festival
Korea Orchid Festival, organized by the Hampyeong Orchid Union, is held in every March in Hampyeong, the largest distribution area of globally reputed Korean noble orchids.
Once the Korea Orchid Festival is held in Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do, known for its butterfly festival, many visitors, mesmerized by the excellent orchid fragrance, end up fully appreciating the Korean orchid. Korea Orchid Festival, filling Hampyeong with the orchids sweet fragrance, is rushing in the arrival of spring, coming sooner than previous years.
Hampyeong’s Korea Orchid Festival is aimed at increasing the orchid’s artistic value and promoting the excellence of Korean orchid culture in accordance with the flowering time of the Korean noble orchid.
300 types of Korean noble orchid, including Soshim orchid, Jeokhwa orchid, Wanghwa orchid and Joogeumhwa orchid, are on display during the festival.
At the festival venue, Korean noble orchid sales event, orchid lovers’ night and orchid and orchid cultivation skill courses for beginners are held, along with Korean noble orchid cultivation guidance and orchid cultivation tools and orchid-related books on sale.
